Every industrial company faces the logistical challenge of transporting the goods it produces to the customer or making them available for collection. Efficient and well-organised delivery logistics are crucial to ensuring customer satisfaction and optimising operating costs.
With the software product lis.dispatch, LiSEC provides its customers with an innovative solution to integrate the delivery planning and dispatch process into the existing software landscape and thus digitally map it. This solution offers seamless integration and enables efficient management of the entire supply chain.
How lis.dispatch works
lis.dispatch receives the planned orders and their production status via GPS.Order and GPS.Prod. In the software, the orders, racks and products are planned on lorries in so-called transports. Planning can be carried out independently of production, whereby the current production status of all products is always displayed in lis.dispatch
A mobile application supports the actual execution of these transports, starting with loading, delivery with proof of delivery or, if necessary, breakage reports during delivery The current status of the delivery is also displayed in the lis.dispatch web application at all times A delivery note can be printed from both the mobile application and the web application
Optimised delivery and production planning with lis.dispatch
In modern industry, companies are faced with the challenge of efficiently coordinating delivery planning and production planning. With lis.dispatch, LiSEC offers an innovative solution that supports two different approaches to optimise these processes.
The first approach is delivery planning after or during production. Conventional delivery planning takes place after or during production. The individual orders are planned on lorries, always taking care to ensure that the maximum permissible total mass for the respective lorry is not exceeded. As soon as production is complete, the transport is confirmed and the lorry driver can start loading and delivering. In this approach, delivery planning is not taken into account in production planning, which means that potential synergy effects remain unutilised.
The second approach is production planning after delivery planning has taken place. This innovative approach integrates delivery planning so that optimised delivery planning can influence production planning. Planned shipments are confirmed before production starts and the information on shipments is used in production planning to produce only those products that are needed promptly. This starts with the cutting of the materials.
With these two approaches, lis.dispatch offers a flexible and efficient solution to optimise the coordination of delivery and production planning and thus increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Efficient delivery with the mobile application from lis.dispatch
Delivery is supported by a mobile application that is available on both iOS and Android. In this app, an individual transport can be selected for a specific lorry and the loading, delivery, proof of delivery with photo or signature and the reporting of freight damage can be carried out. The information is transferred directly to the lis.dispatch web application or synchronised at a later time if there is no internet connection.
Centralised planning and monitoring with lis.dispatch
lis.dispatch is the central point for planning and monitoring deliveries. The production status of the products is regularly updated by GPS.Prod, while the current delivery status of each product is immediately visible in lis.dispatch. This enables seamless integration and monitoring of the entire delivery process.
Flexibility through distribution centres
Deliveries can also be planned via a distribution centre by splitting them into two sections that are considered independently of each other. This makes it easy to plan and carry out deliveries over longer distances, increasing the flexibility and efficiency of logistics.
Requirements for the use of lis.dispatch
To use lis.dispatch, GPS.Prod version 22.05 and GPS.Order version 23.02 must be used. lis.dispatch can also be used in conjunction with rack optimisation to further increase efficiency. No edge box is required to operate lis.dispatch; communication takes place directly between GPS.Prod, GPS.Order and lis.dispatch.
The advantages of a cloud service
lis.dispatch is a pure cloud application and this has significant advantages. For example, lis.dispatch can be accessed from anywhere, regardless of whether you are in the company network or travelling via VPN. Cloud applications are also constantly kept up to date by LiSEC so that all customers always benefit from the latest updates. Thanks to the cooperation with Microsoft and its cloud infrastructure, LiSEC's customers benefit from its high availability and reliability as well as state-of-the-art information security. For example, single sign-on (SSO) allows customers to use their own user names and passwords and thus also policies, which means that a user lockout has an immediate effect on all services.
